Kitakogane Shell Mound comprises the Jomon Archaeological Sites in Hokkaido and Northern Tohoku, the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. The route takes you through the Kitakogane Shell Mound Park. Visit the Kitakogane Shell Mound Information Center first to see real excavates and other displays, and then go outside to find reproduced shell mounds and remains of a water place.
