Hi! I'm Yuki Nishi, please call me "Yuki".
I have been studying at Yamagata University for 9 years, where I studied about the Zao volcano which is one of the active volcanos locate in the northeast of Japan.
The main topic of my studies was about its eruption history and magma feeding system.
By investigating and analyzing volcanic products, I discovered its eruption history and magma feeding system for about the last 2000 years.
Furthermore, by analyzing the minerals in the rock, I was able to estimate the eruption time scale and the structure of the magma feeding system. With my experience, I would like to contribute to Toya-Usu UNESCO Global Geopark.
Also, I am interested in the Toya pyroclastic flow which occurred about 110,000 years ago. I would like to uncover the mystery and time scale of this catastrophic eruption.
Thank you very much!
